Punch Double Coronas

The Punch Double Coronas is a big, ceremonial Havana for when you have the time to do it justice. In the Prominente format — 7.6 inches at a 49 ring gauge — it's a two-hour cigar, and one of the most respected large-format smokes in the Cuban catalog.

What it tastes like

Wrapped in a rich colorado-maduro leaf, it opens with cedar, toasted tobacco and a hint of floral sweetness. Once it gets going you find white pepper, creamy vanilla and chocolate over a warm tobacco base. The real magic is in the second half, where the all-Cuban Vuelta Abajo blend layers in cherry, nut, honey and a touch of orange zest. It's a medium-full cigar that stays remarkably composed across its long burn.

Who it's for

This one rewards patience and experience — it's a cigar to savor slowly with a drink, not a quick smoke. If two hours is too much, the Punch Punch delivers the same house character in a more manageable Corona Gorda.
