Partagás Black Label Gigante

The Partagás Black Label Gigante is the big-ring-gauge member of General Cigar's bold Black Label line — a hefty 6 x 60 gordo. If you love a fat cigar and plenty of cool smoke, this is the line's most generous format.

What it tastes like

The huge ring gauge keeps the smoke cool and smooth, which lets the full-bodied blend show off: espresso and black pepper lead, with dark chocolate, earth and a sweet, woody richness behind them. That dark Medio Tiempo wrapper — aged longer on the plant — is the source of the heavy, oily character, and the Nicaraguan and Piloto Cubano filler keeps the power dialed up. It's a slow, leisurely burn.

Who it's for

This is for experienced smokers who specifically enjoy a thick, 60-ring cigar and a long, full-bodied session. Give it time, eat beforehand, and pour something bold — bourbon or a stout work well.
