CubanAficionadosMontecristo Línea 1935 Dumas
The robusto-extra of Montecristo's premium Línea 1935 — a 5.1-inch Cuban with rich cocoa, coffee and refined, aged character.
Flavor profile
Sweet · Roast · Earthy
The Montecristo Línea 1935 Dumas takes its name from Alexandre Dumas, author of The Count of Monte Cristo, and it's part of the brand's premium line introduced in 2017. Dumas is the most approachable size in the range — a robusto-extra at 5.1 inches by a 49 ring gauge, also a format that was new to Habanos at launch.
What it tastes like
The Línea 1935 blend is a more refined, fuller take on the Montecristo profile. Dumas gives you rich cocoa and coffee, cedar, earth, and a roasted-nut sweetness, all smooth and well-balanced thanks to carefully aged tobacco. It's medium-to-full and polished — luxurious without being heavy-handed.
Who it's for
This is aficionado territory: a premium Cuban for someone who already knows and loves the classic Havana style and wants something more elevated in a manageable size. Give it a slow, unhurried smoke with an espresso or an aged rum after dinner.
If you want a longer, bigger expression of this line, the Montecristo Línea 1935 Maltés is the 6-inch toro. For more on Cuban blends versus bold modern ones, see our Cuban vs Nicaraguan guide — and rate your smoke in the Casa DNC app.
