Flavor profile

Roast · Earthy · Spice · Creamy

The Knuckle Sandwich is Espinosa's approachable everyday blend — bold enough in name, balanced enough in smoking. The Habano expression wraps an Ecuadorian Habano leaf over Nicaraguan binder and filler in a 6 × 54 box-pressed Toro, produced at the San Lotano factory in Ocotal (AJ Fernandez's house), giving it a slightly different construction character than the pure La Zona offerings.

The Blend

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano — the same versatile seed-grown-in-Ecuador leaf that appears in the Espinosa Habano line, providing balanced spice, cream, and natural sweetness. Binder and filler: Nicaraguan long-leaf tobaccos. Box-pressed 6 × 54 Toro. Medium-full in strength — assertive but daily-smokeable.

What It Tastes Like

Toasted nuts and cedar lead the first third, smooth and inviting. Baking spice develops through the middle — cinnamon-forward with a soft creaminess underneath. Mild white pepper appears in the final third without turning aggressive. The box press keeps the burn clean and the draw consistent across the full six inches. This is a cigar built for repeat smoking.

Who It's For

The Knuckle Sandwich Habano Toro is the ideal everyday cigar for experienced smokers who don't want to think too hard about their smoke — it's always good, always balanced, and never demands your full attention the way an Escuro or Murcielago does. If you're coming from Connecticut shade territory and want to move toward Habano spice without a full jump in strength, this is an excellent bridge. The box press makes it practical in the hand for a walking or outdoor smoke.
